... Read moreDealing with narcissistic abuse isn't just about facing the narcissist themselves, but also the enablers and 'flying monkeys' who defend their harmful actions. From personal experience, the most challenging part is recognizing the gaslighting phrases that make you doubt your own reality. Common excuses like "Why don't you just be the bigger person?" or "They've had a really tough life" often disguise the responsibility narcissists have for their behavior. One particularly insidious tactic I encountered was the weaponization of death threats, where an enabler tries to guilt you into maintaining contact by implying the narcissist could die soon. This emotional manipulation can trap you in a cycle of abuse for years. It's also essential to understand that narcissists often appear charming and kind to many but reserve their abusive behavior for select targets. This selective kindness is a calculated tactic to confuse and isolate you. Through healing, I've learned to identify these repetitive defense excuses as signs to set firm boundaries. Recognizing phrases like "You're the problem," "It's just who they are," or "But that's your mother" helped me stop internalizing blame and start focusing on recovery. If you’re navigating this complex emotional landscape, remember that free resources and master classes are available, focusing on stopping self-gaslighting and recovering from narcissistic abuse. Reaching out, connecting with others who understand these tactics, and educating yourself are critical steps toward reclaiming your peace and strength.

Calling narcissistic abuse for what it is isn’t mean
Apparently using the correct word to describe a narcissist and being able to name the abuse is “going too far.” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Meanwhile they called us every name in the book. Tell me in the comments - what’s the most outrageous thing the narcissist in your life ever called you? #narctok
