Dealing with a narcissist is undoubtedly one of the most challenging experiences anyone can face. Based on personal experience and countless stories shared within #narctok communities, the key to survival is learning not to engage with the abusive behavior. The grey rock method is an essential tool that helped me keep my emotions protected by responding with minimal interest and avoiding conflict. It turns out that narcissists seek control through reactions and emotional responses, so the less they get, the weaker their hold. Financial dependence, co-parenting, or deep emotional ties can make cutting off a narcissist difficult. During these times, creating a detailed exit plan became my lifeline. This included securing financial independence, building a support network, and focusing on self-care and therapy to rebuild my sense of self-worth. Another critical insight is accepting that the abusive patterns won’t change. The cycle of love-bombing, devaluation, discard, and hoovering repeats relentlessly, and trying to fix the narcissist only prolongs the pain. Instead, the priority should be on protecting your peace and sanity by enforcing strict boundaries and focusing on your emotional recovery. Through this journey, I've learned the importance of patience with myself and understanding that escaping narcissistic abuse is a process that may take time. Every small step toward reclaiming my life mattered. Sharing these experiences with others has been empowering and reinforces the value of community support during recovery.

Calling narcissistic abuse for what it is isn’t mean
Apparently using the correct word to describe a narcissist and being able to name the abuse is “going too far.” 😂🤦🏻♀️ Meanwhile they called us every name in the book. Tell me in the comments - what’s the most outrageous thing the narcissist in your life ever called you? #narctok

Narcissistic abuse
And what’s crazy is the love you had for that person(the narc) they apparently don’t ever remember or say you did this or that…not out of love but to use against them in some type of way. Shits crazy. The healing process is hard. The moving on even harder. What’s more sad…everything good in you and
