Yay I’m down to 217lbs not much has changed 🫶

thank you everyone for the amount of support I have gotten. I am so happy to have support on this app from so many people and I am so grateful for all of you to keep me going on my Weight Loss.

... Read moreWow, reaching 217 lbs feels like such a huge milestone on my weight loss journey! When I started, I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever see this number on the scale. It's not just about the number, though; it's about all the small daily choices that add up. I remember days when I felt so discouraged, like the scale wouldn't budge for a week or two, or I'd slip up on my healthy eating and feel guilty. But those moments are part of the journey, right? It's about learning, forgiving yourself, and getting right back on track. One thing that's truly helped me stay on track is understanding that weight loss isn't linear. There are weeks when the progress feels agonizingly slow, and that's completely normal. What I've learned is to shift my focus to non-scale victories too – like having so much more energy to play with my kids, finally fitting comfortably into clothes I haven't worn in ages, or simply feeling stronger and more capable during my daily walks or gym sessions. These small personal wins are just as motivating, if not more so, than seeing the number drop on the scale. Sometimes, even when the scale isn't moving, I can feel my clothes getting looser, and that's a fantastic feeling! I also want to emphasize how crucial a support system has been for me. The encouragement I get from this amazing community, from friends, and family, truly makes all the difference. Knowing there are people cheering me on, sharing their own struggles and successes, and offering genuine advice keeps me going, especially on those tough days when motivation dips. It’s like having a dedicated team in my corner, and that feeling of not being alone is incredibly powerful. Sharing my progress and challenges here has been so therapeutic and motivating. For anyone out there on a similar path, my biggest piece of advice is to be patient and incredibly kind to yourself. It's definitely a marathon, not a sprint. Celebrate every single victory, no matter how tiny it seems. Find what truly works for you – whether it's meal prepping your lunches, discovering a form of exercise you actually enjoy (for me, it's dancing!), or simply making a conscious effort to drink more water throughout the day. Don't compare your journey to anyone else's; everyone's body is different, and progress looks unique for everyone. There will be good days and bad days, but consistency and self-compassion are key. The original title mentioned 'not much has changed,' and I think that's a common feeling. Sometimes, even when the scale shows progress, our own perception of ourselves can lag behind, or we might still struggle with old habits. It's a mental game as much as a physical one. I'm learning to appreciate my body at every stage and acknowledge the effort I'm putting in, even if the visual changes aren't as dramatic as I sometimes wish. The internal changes – the boost in confidence, the improved mood, the better sleep – are just as significant. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me next. While I'm absolutely celebrating being down to 217 lbs, I know there's still work to do, and I'm ready for it. Thank you again for all your incredible support; it means the world to me and keeps me motivated to continue sharing my real, honest experience.
