Thanksgiving Turkey 🦃🍽

For Thanksgiving we usually skip out on turkey & just do a ham, but this year we wanted both! It came out really moist && flavorful 🥰

Brine:

✨ 2 gallons hot Water ( really hot )

✨ 2 cups Salt

✨ 1 cup Brown Sugar

✨ 1 cup Sugar

✨ 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

✨ 1/2 cup Lemon Juice

✨ 1/2 cup Pepper

✨ 1/4 cup minced Garlic

💥 Remove the neck & things from your turkey, rinse it off, then remove the spine!!

💥 Fill a huge pot with all these ingredients, place your turkey inside & let sit overnight!!

✨ 2 Onions ( rough cut )

✨ 6 Celery Sticks ( rough cut )

✨ 1 cup Apple Juice

✨ 1/3 cup Lemon Juice

✨ 1/3 cup minced Garlic

💥 Place all ingredients in the middle of a pan

💥 Place turkey on top of veggies, pat dry with paper towels

Compound Butter:

✨ 4 sticks Butter ( softened )

✨ 3 tbl minced Garlic

✨ 1 tsp each: Sage, Thyme, Pepper, Lemon Pepper, Old Bay, Nutmeg, Paprika, Poultry Seasoning, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder

💥 Mix all ingredients until combined!

💥 Loosen the skin of the turkey & rub butter all inside the skin

💥 Rub some butter on the outside too & season the outside using the same seasonings. Cover with aluminum foil

💥 Bake at 325° for 2 hours minutes ( Every 30 minutes, base the turkey using the juices in the pan )

💥 Remove aluminum foil, & bake additional 30 minutes ( or until skin is browned & internal temperature is 165° )
