Letting go is an act of faith.
Letting go can often feel like an overwhelming challenge, especially when deep hurt and a desire for justice linger in our hearts. From personal experience, I've learned that releasing bitterness is less about forgetting pain and more about trusting a higher power to handle what feels unresolved. The passage from Romans 12:19 — "Do not avenge yourselves, but leave room for God's wrath" — beautifully captures this truth. Instead of clinging to the need for personal revenge, choosing faith in practice invites peace and healing. Many of us replay the hurt, imagining the perfect response or the justice we hoped for, but this cycle only traps us further. Speaking from my journey, the real breakthrough came when I understood that forgiveness isn't about excusing wrongs but about freeing myself from carrying burdens I was never meant to bear. It’s a deliberate act to choose freedom over bitterness. Praying with intention and honesty—asking for help to stop the cycle within us—has transformed my perspective. Each time I release a grievance, I find a growing sense of peace that replaces anger and pain. This process doesn’t mean losing something valuable; rather, letting go becomes an opportunity for genuine healing. The path is neither easy nor instant but is deeply rewarding as faith guides the healing heart.
