I've personally struggled with the all-or-nothing mindset many times, feeling like unless everything was perfectly planned or executed, I might as well give up. This challenge highlights a crucial truth: most people fail their fitness or personal goals because they expect perfection from the start. That got me thinking about how to approach change more realistically. One of the key takeaways is that life isn't ever perfectly aligned for us to start something new. If you wait for every aspect to be flawless, you just won’t begin. I remember a time when after a rough night of espresso martinis and junk food—including regular and Cool Ranch Doritos and even a stuffing poutine—I still forced myself to run despite feeling off. That run turned out to be one of the best in months, not because of intensity or speed but because I showed up with no expectations. It felt euphoric simply to move and take care of myself amidst imperfection. Sustainable habit-building comes from accepting that life will be messy at times, and that progress isn’t about perfection but consistency. This 90 Day Challenge reinforces that idea by encouraging small, manageable changes rather than extreme programs that demand all-or-nothing effort. For anyone feeling stuck waiting for the “right moment” or fearing failing when things aren’t perfect, embracing this mindset shift can make all the difference. So if you’re thinking of joining the challenge, know that it’s about resilience over results. It’s okay to have imperfect days—as long as you keep going. This approach transformed my own journey, turning setbacks into learning opportunities and helping me build habits that endure beyond quick fixes or rigid challenges.
