Cozy backyard details & why I chose them! 🏠
Last summer I took many hours to fix up this backyard from having a ton of weeds to being a sanctuary for my dog, my husband, my friends & family, and ME!
I absolutely love coming out here, just relaxing, taking care of my plants and spending time with loved ones🌱 ❤️
The biggest lesson I learned while remaking this backyard was to take the time to do it right! And to do it well, don’t cut corners!
I made the fire pit and other gravel areas and I’ve had to re-put down weed covers because I didn’t do a well enough job the first time. It was a disaster 🫠
Also your outdoor areas will always need care and work weekly to be maintained! It goes way beyond mowing a lawn. Making sure items are still in good shape, killing weeds, and taking care of plants take up my time everyday. But I love it because I get to be outside 🤗
Most of my furniture I didn’t hand make I bought off Facebook marketplace or got from thrift stores! So overall this whole project was super cheap compared to getting a contractor to landscape your backyard. If you have time and resources it’s totally doable and worth it!
