Relatively easy to make. If it looks cold here it is because there was barely any whipped cream in the can and I didn’t need it to melt. Very delicious and would totally do again. I didn’t let my bread get stale and even then it was still good.
Im topping it here with condensed milk because I think that’s yummy but did I mean for it to blob like that? No.
Score: 7.5/10

Okay, so I stumbled upon this brilliant idea of combining the rich, creamy goodness of Tres Leches with the comforting warmth of French Toast Bread Pudding, and let me tell you, it's a total game-changer! I was a bit skeptical at first, wondering if it would be too soggy or overly sweet, but it turned out incredibly delicious and surprisingly easy to pull off. If you're looking for a dessert that really impresses but doesn't require a culinary degree, this Tres Leches bread pudding recipe, with its French toast twist, is absolutely it. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that you don't always need super stale bread for a good bread pudding. For my Tres Leches French Toast, I actually used fresher bread, and it still absorbed all that yummy milky goodness beautifully. The trick is to cut your bread into thick cubes or slices – think sturdy brioche, challah, or even a good quality white bread – to ensure it holds up to the generous drenching. This makes it a fantastic option when you're craving something sweet but haven't planned ahead for stale bread. The real magic, of course, lies in the Tres Leches soak. This concoction is typically a delightful blend of evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream. Don't skimp on this step! After arranging your bread in a baking dish, pour this heavenly mixture over it, allowing it to soak for at least 30 minutes, or even longer if you have the time. This is where the bread transforms, becoming incredibly moist and flavorful, setting the stage for an unforgettable Tres Leches French Toast Casserole. Once thoroughly soaked, it goes into the oven, baking until it's golden brown on top and the center is set but still wonderfully custardy. The edges get a lovely, slightly caramelized crispness, while the interior remains soft and infused with all the milky flavors. It’s truly a comforting dish, perfect for a decadent brunch or a show-stopping dessert. And for the topping? Oh my goodness, a drizzle of extra condensed milk is a non-negotiable for me! While some might prefer just a dollop of whipped cream, that added layer of sweet, creamy condensed milk just takes it over the top and makes every bite super YUM. To brighten things up and add a touch of freshness, I highly recommend adding some fresh berries like strawberries or raspberries, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for a hint of warmth. These little additions elevate the Tres Leches French Toast experience even further. For those who are new to making a Tres Leches pudding or a Tres Leches with bread, a couple of tips: if you're worried about it being too wet, you can slightly toast your bread cubes in the oven before soaking them – this helps them maintain a bit more structure. Also, make sure your baking dish isn't too shallow, as the Tres Leches mixture needs space to work its magic without overflowing. And don't be afraid to experiment with different bread types; challah or brioche, as mentioned, are fantastic for a richer flavor and texture. Honestly, this bread Tres Leches creation is a simple pleasure that feels incredibly indulgent. It's a delightful mash-up that will have everyone asking for your secret Tres Leches Bread Pudding recipe!
