Self Care Routines I've Started to Change My Life~

1. skincare

• wash ur face (I use Cera Ve hydrating cream to foam cleanser)

• use a jade roller, ice roller, or gua sha

• toner (I use Cera Ve hydrating toner)

• glycolic acid (I use The Ordinary)

• hyluronic acid (I use Provence Beauty)

• retinol cream (I use Equate/Walmart brand)

• vitamin c serum (I use The Beauty Elixir)

• under eye serum (I use Revuele eye contour)

• moisturizer & spf (I use Cera Ve daily moisturizing lotion and Bare Republic baby sunscreen in spf 50)

note: do what is best for your skin! I have dry skin, so my routine will NOT work for someone with oily skin.

2. Hair Care

• comb/detangle ur hair (I use the unbrush)

• hair mask (I use HASK Clean Beauty)

• scalp oil (I mix olive oil and rosemary essential oil)

• moisturizing shampoo (I use Luseta Keratin shampoo)

• conditioner (I use Luseta Rose Oil conditioner)

• brush & rinse (cold water)

• leave in conditioner/hair oil (jamacian black castor oil and karatin spray)

note: may need to change things depending on your hair type! I have thick, wavy to curly hair that is dyed red.

3. Nail Care

• wash hands (generic hand soap)

• trim & file

• push back/trim cuticles (only cut off if hanging off)

• buff nails (lightly file the tops leaving texture)

• paint/dip (SNS is a great option, last long and keeps your nails from breaking. if you paint them do 3 color coats and 2 coats of top coat unless its gel)

• cuticle oil (I use rose oil or olive oil)

thats all I have right now! let me know in the comments what other routines I should invest in. remember: you dont have to spend a ton of money to be clean and healthy. I biy most of my products from Ross, Marshalls, and Walmart.

... Read moreSelf-care is essential for maintaining physical and mental well-being. Establishing routines can help enhance one’s health and overall happiness. In skincare, it's crucial to understand your skin type. For those with dry skin, a gentle cleanser, like CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, combined with moisture-rich serums and moisturizers, such as those containing hyaluronic acid or vitamin C, can significantly improve skin texture. For oily or combination skin, lightweight gels and non-comedogenic products are ideal. Hair care is equally important, with a focus on using moisturizing shampoos and conditioners tailored to your hair type. For instance, those with thick, curly hair can benefit from deep conditioning masks and oils that hydrate and nourish. Choose products free from harsh chemicals to maintain scalp health. Nail care routines are often overlooked; however, regularly trimming, filing, and hydrating the nails and cuticles can lead to healthier hands and nails. Using cuticle oils and avoiding harsh chemicals during manicures will keep your nails looking their best. Finally, remember that self-care doesn't have to be expensive. Many effective products can be found at budget-friendly retailers like Ross or Walmart. It's all about finding what works for you and sticking to a routine that you enjoy.
