Almost 50 Pounds Down… But My Mind Still Sees 223 lbs 💔❤️

I started my weight loss journey at 223 lbs because I was tired of feeling uncomfortable in my body and mentally exhausted every single day. I wanted more for myself—more confidence, more energy, and a healthier life.

Since August 2025, I’ve lost almost 50 pounds… but if I’m being honest, it hasn’t felt the way I imagined. Some days it feels painfully slow, and even after all this progress, I still struggle to see the changes. In my mind, I still see the same person I was at 223 lbs.

I haven’t celebrated the milestones I’ve reached because I’ve been so hard on myself. Instead of feeling proud, I focus on what I haven’t done yet. That’s the hard part no one talks about—sometimes the body changes before the mind does.

Living with body dysmorphia can be extremely triggering. It can make real progress feel invisible. It can make you question yourself even when the proof is there.

But despite those thoughts, I keep going.

I continue to work out.

I continue to choose healthier habits.

I continue to fight for the version of me that deserves love right now—not just at the finish line.

Some days I have to ignore what my mind says. Some days I have to ignore what I think I see in the mirror. And some days I simply focus on not giving up.

I still have 64 pounds to go until I reach my goal, but I’m reminding myself that this journey is about more than a number. It’s about healing, discipline, and becoming stronger inside and out.

One day I hope I can see myself the way others already do. Until then… I keep going. ❤️❤️
