✨ cilantro lime shrimp tacos (with mango salsa!) 🌮
save for later!!! (ingredients/link to the recipe will be shown below, after my little rant, so you can skip if you like 💖)
👽 tired of never knowing what the f*ck to eat for dinner?? are you SICK of the constant rotation of chicken, pizza, and fast food?? oh no!! you over spent on ordering delivery for your convenience this week and now that you're a broke bastard, you have no choice but to eat what might already be in your kitchen??? are you nearing 30 and finally trying to make real effort towards better eating/spending habits???
yeah, me too, bud.
🛑✋️ fair warning: im no professional chef, but i dont gotta be one to know how to make a good meal. there will be no measurements from me, because i been cooking long enough to know how to season with my heart. but if you want the link, here it is: https://carlsbadcravings.com/cilantro-lime-shrimp-tacos-with-mango-salsa/
this is how EYE did it:
🌟 Shrimp: buy whatever shrimp you want, if you don't have any. for convenience, I bought pre-cooked, de-vained shrimp (be careful about cooking this again, as it only needs about 5 minutes or less to cook with the seasonings)
🌟 Garlic: four minced garlic cloves and cook onto pan with olive oil for 1 minute. (skip this step if you don't have it.)
🌟Seasonings: The shrimp is seasoned with chili powder (or chili lime power), ground cumin, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper and optional cayenne pepper. add garlic power if you skipped the last step.
🌟 Cilantro: roughly chop some cilantro and mix this, all your seasonings, and the shrimp together in a bowl to marinate. THIS IS OPTIONAL! if you dont wanna wait you can honestly just throw it all in the pan and let the seasoning and cooking happen at the same time. be sure to taste your shrimp as you cook to be sure the seasoning is to your liking.
🌟Mango Salsa: i cut down on some of the ingredients the original recipe asked for and it was still delicious! all i needed was one (1) sweet mango, chopped red onion for a balancing sharpness, chopped jalapenos for heat (remove the insides if you're sensitive to spice, the seeds will make it WAY spicy), cilantro for a zesty punch, lime juice (FROM REAL LIMES PLEASE, PEOPLE) for brightness, and Tajin seasoning.
🌟 Optional addition: spread sheep cheese on your heated corn tortillas before assembling (its so good y'all, I swear)
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!! no more decision fatigue, dinner has been decided for you! you have to pinky promise to tell me what you guys think, okay?
have an awesome sunday, folks! 💖
