... Read moreOkay, so since we're all buzzing about these incredible Limited Edition Blueberry Blue Moon Pies I found, I wanted to dive a little deeper into the whole Moon Pie world! You know, it's not just about the blueberry craze; Moon Pies have such a classic, nostalgic vibe. First off, let's talk about the name. While my Dollar Tree find was specifically 'Blue Moon Pies' because they're blueberry flavored and blue, the original Moon Pie has been around forever. The iconic 'Once in a Blue Moon' phrase on the packaging, which I saw on the box of Moon Pie Minis, really adds to its charm, making these blueberry ones feel extra special. It's like finding a little piece of dessert history with a modern twist! Beyond the blueberry, have you tried the classic Moon Pie flavors? The original chocolate is a staple, but they also have vanilla and banana, which are seriously underrated. Each one has that soft graham cracker cookie, marshmallow filling, and delicious coating. It’s simple, but it hits every time. I’ve always been a fan of the chocolate, but this blueberry might just be my new favorite! These Moon Pie Minis are so convenient for a quick treat. Now, for a truly classic experience, we HAVE to talk about the 'RC Cola and Moon Pie' combo. This is something people often search for, and for good reason! It’s a Southern tradition that dates back decades. The sweetness of the Moon Pie, especially a warmed-up one (trust me, microwave it for 10-15 seconds!), paired with the crisp, slightly tangy RC Cola? It’s pure magic. The fizz of the soda cuts through the richness of the pie perfectly. If you haven't tried this pairing, you're missing out on a piece of Americana! I usually grab an RC Cola whenever I see one, just for that specific, comforting combo. It’s the ultimate old-school snack duo. Finding these unique flavors can be part of the fun. While I snagged my blueberry ones at Dollar Tree, general Moon Pies are usually pretty easy to find at most grocery stores, convenience stores, and even gas stations. Sometimes, you have to keep an eye out for the limited editions, or specialty flavors at places like Five Below or even online. It's like a little treasure hunt for your taste buds! Don't forget to look for those special 'pies blue moon' editions! Do you have a favorite Moon Pie memory? Or a go-to flavor? I'd love to hear how you enjoy yours in the comments. Whether it’s straight out of the box, warmed, or with an RC Cola, there's no wrong way to enjoy a Moon Pie!
