HOW MANY ITEMS DO YOU LAYER WITH?
I start layering as soon as I step in the shower.
First, I use my unscented Dove Bar soap and African Net to really get a good scrub because I do layer a lot of body care products. (Because I use so many body care products it’s very important that I do a PH reset like once a week and use a PH balancing body wash to do a deeper cleanse).
Next, I use a body wash that has notes or at least similar/complimenting notes of the scent I want to wear that day.
After I shower, I immediately use a body oil. It’s usually coconut, almond, or apricot based. Again, I use the oil that would compliment my SOTD the most.
Then I lock in with a lotion or butter cream with similar notes of the perfume I will be wearing.
After applying that, depending on the intensity of my perfume, I may add more oil to my pulse points so my fragrance may last longer. Then apply my perfume to hot points.
Lastly, I select a body mist like SDJ, BBW, or Yara that will add a little pizzazz and elevate the final SOTD outcome and overspray like a mf’er lol on body and clothes.
That’s it! This is how I layer on a good day!
So my total comes out to about 6 items.
