no fast fashion piece can compare to what small businesses create. being a fashion girl through & through, i’m always on the lookout for new small businesses that i can support! here’s one i think you just might love!

from levi’s! this skirt was originally a pair of plain denim shorts, but was transformed into something much better with the use of a sewing machine & some lace! this skirt is so gorgeous in so many ways. i adore the ruffley lace, pops of pink & the crochet appliqué! the back pockets are perfection, this idea is so beautiful. i really love the vintage feel this one has!

the light wash skirt:

also from levi’s & also used to be shorts! this skirt is equally as perfect as the first. this one has the prettiest floral print ruffle trim, with matching back pockets & added pink bows that can be moved anywhere on the skirt! so stunning & unique!

My schooling is in business and fashion, back in the day when fast fashion was starting it was such a fascinating idea that we all thought and hoped would die. But consumers want fast and cheap and as prices increased it remained. But it’s all cheap textiles, sewing, factory produced, little to no wages, child labor, and just pollution and product waste that kill the environment. So yes, opt for small businesses! Clothing shouldn’t be cheap and last decades not a handful of years. Even more, research where products are sourced, and what fabric contains. Conscious consumerism should be the trend. These pieces are absolutely cute and refreshing!! 🩷 yes shop local or shop small
