... Read moreHaving experienced countless blowouts, I've found that consistency in prepping the hair makes all the difference. The step I always include involves a protective and styling product from Kenra Professional, which helps to shield hair from heat damage while providing a smooth finish. Living in NYC means dealing with varying humidity levels that can quickly ruin a blowout. On day 1, hair looks sleek and polished, but by day 3, moisture in the air often causes frizz and limpness. To combat this, I apply a specific Kenra heat-protectant spray before blow-drying, which significantly extends the lifespan of my blowout. Additionally, I focus on sectioning hair properly during drying to ensure even heat distribution and volume. Using a round brush while drying helps to create lift at the roots and smooth ends. I avoid skipping the cool shot from the hairdryer at the end, as it seals the cuticle for extra shine and longevity. For touch-ups on days 2 and 3 without washing, a light mist of dry shampoo paired with a little dry oil from Kenra helps refresh the hair and tame any flyaways. Combining these steps with quality products tailored to humid environments ensures my blowouts maintain their shape and smoothness. Overall, investing in the right heat-protection and styling products like those from Kenra Professional, alongside a dedicated blowout routine, can make a remarkable difference. This approach not only saves time on daily styling but also helps keep hair healthy and beautiful despite challenges such as NYC humidity.
