I wish somebody had told me this when I started…
The hardest part is not starting. The hardest part is staying consistent over time.
When you win, you think you will always win.
You won’t.
Stay consistent.
When you lose, you think you will always lose.
You won’t.
Stay consistent.

When I first started running, I underestimated how crucial consistency truly is. It's easy to feel motivated at the beginning, but maintaining that motivation over months and years is what separates those who improve from those who give up. I’ve learned that neither wins nor losses define your future performance—what matters is your persistence. In my experience, setting realistic goals and tracking progress with a reliable running app can make a big difference. There are many apps available that help you monitor your speed, distance, and even form, which helps you stay accountable and motivated. Incorporating a structured running plan tailored to your level also provides clear milestones and helps you avoid burnout or injuries. Another key factor is investing in quality gear. I discovered that good running shoes and socks, which properly fit and support your feet, greatly improve comfort and reduce injury chances. Discounts or codes make these essential purchases more affordable, so it’s worth exploring those options. Lastly, embracing the mindset of learning from every run—success or setback—keeps you growing. You won’t always have your best days, but with persistence, every effort counts towards long-term improvement. Remember, consistency isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing up and committing to your journey. For anyone starting or struggling to keep up their running routine, my advice is simple: keep your mind focused, work hard, and never give up. You’ll be amazed at the progress you can achieve over time if you stay consistent.
