Sweet Cheesy Beans is doing well. I’m glad we caught the potential infection and got meds immediately. UGA did tell us from the beginning that mild infections were anticipated/ expected with this procedure, and to just watch out for them and let them know.
Cheese is doing really well for her sitter during the day, who has taken on the Cheese watching duties extremely well! It’s been a blessing having someone here to make sure kiddo stays safe during the day.
The night time duties are, however, a bit exhausting. I do work full time during the day, so staying on my toes all night is not exactly in my favor. I’m currently couch sleeping to try and hear her attempt to take her cone off. So far we’re a week in but I’m praying I can somehow survive the next 3 weeks of nights without incident. It never fails that the moment I doze off she tries or succeeds in popping off her cone.
Obviously wouldn’t dare do it while we’re watching 😂
