... Read moreBeing the "mom friend" is more than just a playful nickname; it truly feels like a full-time responsibility. I’ve found myself constantly looking out for my friends as if I were their guardian, especially during outings or parties. From reminding them not to sprint into traffic to making sure they don’t lose their belongings, the mental load is significant. There’s also the emotional side—when your friends are stressed out or overwhelmed, you often become the person they lean on for support, advice, or simply to calm them down. I often end up turning into this unofficial protector, making sure everyone stays safe and happy. One of the more interesting parts of this role is becoming the designated driver more often than not. It’s not just about responsibility but also the desire to keep everyone else safe, even if it means sacrificing your own drinking or late night plans. While it can be exhausting, being the mom friend also brings unique rewards. You develop a deeper bond with your friends because they trust and rely on you. There's a certain satisfaction in knowing you helped prevent a mishap or steered someone away from trouble. If you're the mom friend in your group, you're likely familiar with the mix of exhaustion and fulfillment that comes with the role. It’s a balancing act—managing your own needs while being the caregiver for your friends. But ultimately, it shows your care and dedication, which can be truly appreciated once your friends reflect on the moments you kept them grounded and safe.

How I Stopped Being an Angry Mom
Okay, mamas, let's have a real talk moment. I was that mom who yelled, who snapped over spilled milk (literally), who felt her blood pressure rise with every dropped toy, and whose patience ran thinner than my kiddos attention span. I was an angry mom, and honestly, it sucked. It sucked f

the reality of being a single mom
hello ◡̈ I think society really shits on single mothers and I genuinely can’t seem to wrap my mind around why. Single mothers work non stop, 24/7, with zero breaks. No sick days, no vacations, no downtime. Just constant hustle and grind, despite all the setbacks and challenges. And you know what?
