20 weeks in a blink of an eye.

Coming into this internship, I honestly didn’t know what to expect.

Beyond the projects and technical skills, my biggest takeaway was learning how to balance life, professionalism, and getting my first real glimpse into working life.

At the start, even understanding conversations was difficult sometimes 😭

There were so many acronyms and jargon that everyone naturally used while I was still trying to piece together what everything meant.

But over time, I realised something important: if you want to grow, you can’t always wait for people to tell you what to do. You need to be proactive about the experiences, lessons, and opportunities you want to take away for yourself.

What I’m most grateful for are the people.

Despite how busy everyone already was, the team was always patient, approachable, and willing to guide us. What I appreciated most was that they never imposed expectations on us, but instead gave us the space to figure out what we wanted to learn and gain from the internship.

I’m also incredibly thankful for the other interns I worked alongside throughout these 20 weeks. We all had our own responsibilities, but there was always a sense that we could rely on and support one another when needed.

A lot changed quietly during these few months.

Grateful for the experience, the people, and the lessons.

Excited for what’s next :)

... Read moreStarting an internship can be both exciting and daunting, especially when you find yourself immersed in an entirely new environment filled with unfamiliar acronyms and fast-paced conversations. I remember my first few weeks where even understanding what was being discussed felt overwhelming. However, what helped me the most was adopting a proactive mindset. Instead of waiting for instructions, I sought opportunities to engage and learn, which dramatically accelerated my growth. Another important aspect was the invaluable support from the team and fellow interns. In my experience, internships thrive when there is a culture of patience and approachability. Despite everyone’s busy schedules, having mentors who genuinely want to guide you and peers who you can rely on creates a nurturing atmosphere that makes challenges easier to overcome. Balance was a key takeaway from this internship. Managing professional responsibilities while maintaining a healthy personal life taught me important time management and prioritization skills. It’s essential to set boundaries and allocate time for both work tasks and self-care. Finally, looking back, the quiet transformations over those 20 weeks were profound. Each day brought new lessons, not only in technical skills but also in soft skills such as communication, adaptability, and teamwork. Internships are truly more than just stepping stones; they are formative periods that shape your professional mindset and open doors to future opportunities. Embracing the entire journey—the challenges, lessons, and relationships—can turn an internship experience into a meaningful chapter of your career development.

When my waters broke to soon - Premature birth
Sigh. Oh well. I had a birth plan—and this wasn’t what I expected at all. I was getting ready to sleep for work the next day when I felt water trickling down my thighs. I panicked and quickly called my husband into the room, and we rushed straight to KKH A&E. Because I was over 20 week

✨ From PCOS to My First Pregnancy ✨
I dated my husband for 9 years and we’ve been married for 2. For as long as I can remember, my menstrual cycles were irregular and painful. In my early 20s, I gained weight rapidly and brushed it off as university stress, poor lifestyle habits, and lack of exercise — the “normal” uni life excuses.

🇸🇬 JB 5D Ultrasound for Only RM88!
Heard a lot about private clinics offering 3D scans, whereas my check-ups at KKH are always the usual 2D scans — perfect for medical purposes, but honestly… it’s really hard to imagine what my baby actually looks like. 🥹 So at 32 weeks, I decided to try Sonobee. I went to the Ulu Tiram outlet si

My 6-12am shift is harder than my 9-6 😣
I used to think evenings were for resting. Then I became a parent. 6pm hits and the second shift starts. Rush to log off, rush home, rush to pick bb up. From that moment on, time is no longer mine. Shower baby, change baby, prep bottles, feed baby. All while mentally running a checklist:
