Kamikochi is the main guardian of the Japanese Alps and the gateway to mountain climbing.
It is believed as a guardian deity of traffic safety and mountain climbing safety.
Approximately 3.5 km from Kappa Bridge, the symbol of Kamikochi, on the right bank of the Azusa River.
Passing through the torii gate in front of Myojin Bridge, it is enshrined by Myojin Pond.
It is a clear power spot that does not freeze even in winter because it consists of two large and small ponds and is made of spring water from Myojindake and underground water always flows in ✨
Every year on October 8, the Mifune Shinto ritual is held in which two boats with dragon heads go around Myojin Pond. We pray for the benefits and safety of the mountain.

明神池は冬でも凍らないほどの透明な湧き水が流れ込み、豊かな緑に囲まれた自然美が魅力のパワースポットです。私も実際に桟橋に立ち、静けさの中で心が洗われる思いを体感しました。穂高神社奥 宮は山の守り神・穂高見命を祀り、登山者の安全祈願で知られています。アクセスは河童橋から梓川右岸ルートで約3.5キロ、徒歩70分ほど。明神橋の手前にある鳥居をくぐって池まで向かいます。 毎年10月8日に開催される御船神事は、色鮮やかな龍頭鷁首の飾りが施された舟が明神池を巡り、山と自然の恩恵に感謝し安全を祈願する伝統行事です。地元の方々の信仰の深さと自然との共生を感じられます。 拝観料は大人500円、小学生200円で、朝6時から17時まで拝観可能。訪れる際は新鮮な空気と共にこの神秘的な空間でリフレッシュすることができるでしょう。すべての季節で異なる表情を見せる明神池と穂高神社奥宮は、上高地の自然美とスピリチュアルな体験を求める方におすすめの場所です。
