A few weeks ago I travelled to Lebanon to document refugees and displaced Lebanese while providing food, funding and medical care.
Being back home with my babies but longing to be back with the crisis survivors I have imprinted on my heart is an absolute battle for me every day.
I hope you’ll watch this small snippet of one of our days so I can keep their stories, needs, and donation channels alive ❤️
Traveling to Lebanon to assist refugees is an experience that reshapes your perspective on resilience and humanity. On the second day, visiting the Bekaa Valley and encountering families with special high needs brought a mixture of sorrow and hope. Delivering essentials like clean water, lentils, canned protein, baby formula, and diapers made a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling to survive. One of the most moving moments was seeing children playing joyfully despite their harsh circumstances — the simple act of turning on a hose to let them splash and laugh brought fleeting normalcy in a land torn by crisis. This reminded me how essential it is to not only address physical needs but also nurture the spirit during times of hardship. We visited an abandoned school converted into a shelter for displaced families, witnessing new life being brought into the world amidst ruins. Supporting mothers with baby formula and sharing colic relief tips underscored the preciousness of life and the urgent necessity for continued humanitarian aid. Returning home, the contrast between my life with my own children and the lives of these survivors was profound, creating a daily internal conflict but also a deepened commitment to raising awareness and supporting donation channels. The faces and stories of these individuals are forever imprinted on my heart, driving me to encourage others to contribute to such vital efforts. No child should be born into such adversity, and together, through awareness and compassion, we can help bring hope and healing to displaced communities in Lebanon.
