When I started sketching these stylized alien girls, I wanted each one to have a distinct personality while fitting into a cohesive cosmic theme. Take the first one, for example: I imagined her with striking blue skin and vibrant pink hair, giving her a playful yet ethereal look. Her grey space suit and clear helmet aren't just practical for space travel; they're also designed to enhance that classic pin-up silhouette. And what's a space traveler without a trusty red rocket? It adds a touch of adventure and whimsy to her pose as she walks against that stunning backdrop. Then there's her counterpart, the green-skinned alien girl with sunny yellow hair. I envisioned her floating effortlessly, her grey and blue space outfit complementing her skin tone as she navigates through the cosmos. For both of them, creating that dynamic backdrop was absolutely key. I absolutely love working with vibrant purple and black cosmic backgrounds, meticulously adding shimmering stars and planetary rings or abstract nebulae to make the scene truly pop.
