✨ Chicago nights just got brighter ✨

I got a first look at Glow Wild: A Lantern Festival of Hope at Brookfield Zoo Chicago and WOW. Think a nighttime stroll through the zoo filled with massive, handcrafted animal lanterns, glowing pathways, cultural performances, and the prettiest after-dark vibes 🦒🐻🐯🦁

This is one of those experiences that feels magical and totally different from anything else in the city right now. Perfect for date night, friend night out, family friendly and something fun to do that will get you outside!

... Read moreHaving visited Glow Wild at Brookfield Zoo myself, I can say this event is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that brings the zoo to life after dark. Walking along the illuminated trails, I was captivated by the stunning handcrafted lanterns representing a variety of animals, from towering giraffes to fierce tigers. Each lantern was carefully designed with beautiful, intricate details that set a magical atmosphere. Beyond the lantern displays, the festival featured vibrant cultural performances that added a dynamic and festive vibe to the evening. I found it particularly enjoyable because it appealed to all ages—whether you’re going on a date night, a fun outing with friends, or a family adventure, there’s something delightful for everyone. What makes Glow Wild stand out is its combination of art, culture, and nature, making it a rare nighttime attraction in Chicago that encourages visitors to explore the zoo in an entirely new way. The glowing pathways guide your journey through themed sections showcasing different creatures and stories, making for excellent photo opportunities. If you plan to visit, I recommend going on a weekday evening to avoid the weekend crowds and to have a more relaxed stroll. Wearing comfortable footwear is a must since the event covers extensive walking areas. Also, don't miss the food vendors nearby offering tasty treats to enjoy while soaking up the glowing ambiance. Overall, Glow Wild is a spectacular addition to Chicago’s event calendar and definitely worth adding to your bucket list this spring. It’s refreshing to find an outdoor experience that combines creativity, wildlife appreciation, and cultural celebration all in one. Don’t forget to check out the official Brookfield Zoo website for ticketing details and special event nights during the festival period.
