So you may all know that INDIAN WEDDINGS ARE MASSIVE. Difficult to fork up $300/pax for premium locations like shangri la and MBS which are some of the few hotels that can accommodate more than 500 pax.
These are some of the ballroom style places I have shortlisted that still give the grand vibes but at a much better price tag. I put this together for my parents and in laws and wanted to share that actually it could be reasonably affordable!
Personally, I am a fan of the flower field hall because that place is BREATHTAKING! Take my money rn!!!
Other places are more ballroom vibes but definitely worth considering too. I don’t like the new Newton Landmark ballroom for the layout but I have not seen it in real life yet.
Nonetheless, I feel that flower field hall is the best option given that the price range is between $30000 - $50000 for all?
What advice do y’all have for me! I haven’t booked yet and hope the price comparison helps someone else too!!

... Read moreWhen searching for the ideal wedding venue in Singapore that can host over 600 guests, it’s crucial to balance grandeur and affordability. Based on my experience exploring options like the Flower Field Hall, Orchid Country Club Ballroom, and Newton Landmark Ballroom, here are some practical tips to help you plan effectively.
Firstly, consider the overall cost beyond just venue rental. For example, Flower Field Hall’s package includes venue rental, catering, and decoration, coming to an estimated SGD 41,000 for around 600 guests. It offers a breathtaking garden setting, making it perfect for couples who want that elegant outdoor-indoor vibe. The pricing breakdown helped me see how the total cost aligns with the guest count, ensuring transparency.
If you prioritize indoor ballroom aesthetics, Orchid Country Club's ballroom provides a grand space for around 800 guests at roughly SGD 50,500, including catering and venue. This is slightly higher but comes with extensive facilities. The Newton Landmark Ballroom is another option I considered due to its competitive package around SGD 33,000 to 34,000 for 800 pax. However, its layout felt less ideal to me compared to the others.
When budgeting, don’t forget additional costs like decorative florals, beverages, and any extra setup fees. For instance, the Flower Field Hall estimated floral decoration cost is about SGD 5,000.
Finally, visit these venues in person if possible, as photos often do not fully capture the space feel or logistics. Getting a sense of the layout and ambiance helped me decide which venue fit my family’s vibe best.
Overall, planning a large wedding in Singapore is definitely possible within a reasonable budget if you explore venues like Flower Field Hall, balancing cost and atmosphere to create a memorable day for you and your guests.
unless you’ve $240K to splurge for your wedding, TBH flower hall seems like the only viable choice 😂
