I’ve found that structuring it into 'Appetizers,' 'Entrees,' and 'Sides' makes it incredibly practical and easy to implement throughout my day. Let's dive into some more ideas for each category, inspired by what works for me and what I've seen others enjoy: Appetizers: Your Instant Mood Lifters These are the quick, low-effort activities you can pull out of your back pocket anytime, anywhere, for a rapid mood shift. My go-to's include quick stretches at my desk, doing a few jumping jacks to get the blood flowing, or even just taking two minutes to hug my dog – their unconditional love is unbeatable! A warm, steamy hot shower is also incredibly soothing. But I’ve also added things like listening to my absolute favorite song for 3 minutes, looking at a really funny meme, or stepping outside for 60 seconds to just feel the sun on my face. Even a quick aromatherapy sniff of an essential oil blend can do wonders. The key is that they’re short, sweet, and require minimal planning. Entrees: Deeper Upliftment for When You Have More Time When I have a bit more time to invest in my well-being, I turn to my 'Entrees.'
