By gently allowing myself to feel these sensations and sit with them for just a few seconds, I signaled to my brain that I was safe. This gradual practice diminished the emotional charge associated with past experiences. It’s important not to rush or force the process. Small, repeated moments of feeling and allowing gradually build the capacity for healing. Over time, I noticed improvements in anxiety symptoms, better regulation of my nervous system, and a greater sense of calm. This holistic mind-body healing honors the complexity of trauma without retraumatizing, and I highly recommend it for those seeking recovery from chronic illness or anxiety.
