This week wasn’t necessarily hard as it was draining. I’m switching to a new facility soon so I have some anxieties about that.

My therapist recommended I read this book “ Come As You Are” by Emily Nagoski. I’ve had a consistent problem with having many sexually unfulfilling relationships and this book talks about the many aspects of why women’s attraction and desire functions differently from men. I learned a lot. I should probs make a separate post about it.

I got to go on 2 solo dates and 2 dates with my friends. My first date was at a Italian restaurant that I’ve always passed but never tried out. It was good, better than I expected. Then my second solo date was shopping for new jeans.

The only thing I’m disappointed about is how much time I spent on my phone this weekend and not actually doing something productive. I think I’m a little bit sad but not actually paying attention to it.

I ordered a wig as an attempt to try out new looks and aesthetics for the New Year. I’m super nervous since I’ve only ever done braids, blowouts and natural styles my whole entire life.
... Read moreThis week marks a new beginning as I prepare to switch facilities and confront the anxieties that come with change. In my pursuit of personal growth, I've started reading 'Come As You Are' by Emily Nagoski, a book that dives deep into women's unique experiences with attraction and desire. This enlightening read highlights how women's relationships with their desires can differ from men's, which has been eye-opening for me.
Additionally, I ventured on solo dates, something I rarely do. My first solo outing was to an Italian restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The experience taught me the importance of taking time for myself and enjoying my own company. My second date involved shopping for new jeans, focusing on self-care and making myself feel good.
However, I faced challenges, particularly with my smartphone usage, which left me feeling unproductive and slightly melancholic. Recognizing this issue is the first step towards addressing it. Lastly, to embrace a fresh aesthetic for the New Year, I've ordered a wig, a new venture since I’ve primarily stuck to natural styles and braids. Overcoming the fear of change is a significant theme for me this week, and I'm excited about what lies ahead.
