The act of sketching allows me to slow down and focus purely on the moment, creating a meditative space that soothes my mind. Aside from enhancing mental wellness, I've noticed that consistent sketchbook practice improves my artistic skills and helps cultivate unique fan artwork ideas. For instance, experimenting with different styles and subjects in my sketches has fueled inspiration for larger projects and encouraged me to document daily life visually in what I like to call my Lemon8 Diary. One of the surprising benefits of sketchbook therapy is how it encourages vulnerability; sharing your sketches or thoughts through tagged posts like #misheeart or #sketched can connect you with a community of like-minded creatives. This sense of belonging adds another layer of support, making the therapeutic process even more rewarding. If you're new to sketchbook therapy, start simple.
