Killer habits that slowly hurt relationships!💔
If something is true is that relationships don’t fail overnight, many times people oversee little things that are hurting their relationship and they realize when it’s too late! Some of the things that shouldn’t be overseen are:
Lack of appreciation: this can make anyone feel very lonely, sad and even frustrated, it’s very important to show appreciation and there is many ways like: quality time, words of affirmation (I love you, you are important, thank you…), acts of service, and little details.
Passive aggression: whenever you have a problem or discussion it’s very important to haven good communication and express your feelings instead of start to being sarcastic, saying comments with no context, ignore instead of talking, etc.
Skipping me time: I think for a relationship to stay healthy, both people need time for themselves. Let’s be honest, seeing the same person 24/7 can feel overwhelming, no matter how much you love them (I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true). Quality time with yourself isn’t just important but also necessary to recharge and show up as your best self for your partner.
Comparing your relationship: this is something that happens to a lot of people, mostly now that social media is a huge thing and obviously on social media we only see the best moments and faces of everyone, making us think that all relationships are perfect, but that’s far from the reality. On social media we just show what we want people to see, we all have our problems and we need to accept all relationships are different and we are all happy in different ways.
Constantly highlighting past mistakes: bringing up old arguments or mistakes won’t let you heal. A relationship can’t move forward if one or both partners are stuck in the past. It’s very important to forgive and let go to keep growing and building a better relationship.
Avoiding difficult conversations: We’ve all been there, serious talks can be overwhelming and uncomfortable. But avoiding them only creates misunderstandings and issues. It’s key to face these conversations since the beginning to be clear about important future topics and have a healthy connection.
All of these things, and more, are important to keep in mind to have a happier and healthier relationship. It’s not about being perfect (because no relationship is), but about growing together, learning from mistakes, and putting in the effort to make your connection as a couple stronger
