Grief can be really weird sometimes

7/31 Edited to

... Read moreGrief is a deeply personal and often complicated journey that doesn’t follow a linear path. Many people expect grief to be purely about sadness, but it can manifest in a variety of unexpected ways, including frustration, confusion, or even relief at times. For those facing conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), which can affect fertility, the grieving process may also involve mourning the loss of envisioned futures, such as motherhood. Dealing with grief related to PCOS can feel particularly isolating because it intertwines physical health challenges with emotional turmoil. The societal expectations of motherhood can amplify feelings of loss and grief when those expectations seem out of reach. Accepting this grief often requires acknowledging the unspoken pains and giving oneself permission to feel all emotions without judgment. In my own experiences, I’ve found that grief can sometimes feel contradictory—you might simultaneously hold hope and sorrow, anger and acceptance. It’s important to allow space for these feelings rather than trying to suppress or rationalize them. Sharing your story, connecting with others who understand, or seeking counseling can provide much-needed support. Remember, grief doesn’t follow a timeline or a prescribed pattern. It can come and go in waves, sometimes triggered by unexpected moments. Recognizing this unpredictability is a step toward self-compassion and healing. Whether it’s grieving the loss of a dream or processing broader life changes, embracing the weirdness of grief can help you find peace in your unique experiences.

The Grief of Letting Go
I almost had a relapse into my old life. Nostalgia almost made me backtrack but something inside me said no it’s a trick. It’s OK to reminisce on old feelings, but it’s not OK to run back to comfort. You have to remind yourself why you can no longer be around certain spirits. You have to remind you

A lot of people avoid journaling when they’re hurting because they think they need to “figure it out” first. Like the feelings need to be organized. Neat. Understandable. Ready to explain. But pain usually doesn’t arrive that way. It’s messy and repetitive and contradictory. One minute
