Gotta find ways to take care of yourself
Being able to workout is a blessing. During my first pregnancy, I was put on bedrest twice, so I could only workout when I was allowed to, and when I did workout there wasn’t much that I could do. Post partum I worked HARD to lose weight but had surgery 3mo post partum which set me back. 4 months post partum I found out I was pregnant again and I said to myself “you’re gonna be strong for your kids.” So I have worked out every single month of this pregnancy and I have not gained a single pound yet. I’ve stayed the same weight for 4-5 months now, and I don’t feel as misters me this pregnancy. I understand some people cannot workout while pregnant, as I was in the same boat last year, but it’s also not easy to do it. #fyp #pregnancy #pregnant #gym #mama
From my personal experience, I've learned that staying active during pregnancy is as much about mental strength as it is about physical health. Even after being placed on bedrest during my first pregnancy and facing a postpartum surgery, the commitment to be strong for my children pushed me to adapt and keep moving when I could. One motivator I found especially helpful was reminding myself that every effort counts—even small workouts can beat the stronger version of ourselves from yesterday, as echoed in the motivational message: "No matter how much weight you lift, you'll always beat the version of you that stayed him." For those expecting moms worried about exercising, the key is to listen to your body and consult healthcare providers. There were months when I couldn’t do much, but once cleared, even consistent low-impact workouts helped me maintain my weight and feel empowered throughout pregnancy. Staying hydrated, focusing on safe movements like walking, stretching, or prenatal yoga, and celebrating small milestones can make all the difference. Self-care during this period isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, too. Setting realistic fitness goals and giving yourself grace during tougher days is vital. Sharing my journey has shown me how inspiring and supportive a community of moms is, reminding me we're stronger together. If you’re navigating workouts during pregnancy or postpartum recovery, remember that every little step forward is a victory. Prioritize your well-being and be kind to yourself through every phase. Your strength is a gift, for you and your family.
