Bible Reading Hack
Recently, a friend asked me which Bible version I read from. Personally, I love the New King James Version (NKJV). I’ve been reading it since I was a teenager, so it just feels familiar to me. While there are other translations out there that might be more “accurate”, there is a reason why I always emphasize the importance of Bible study! No matter which version you’re reading, it’s so important to understand the author’s perspective, the historical context, the original meanings of key words, and so much more.
When I come across a passage of Scripture that I don’t quite understand—whether it’s the author’s intent or the wording itself—I’ll often look it up in The Message translation. This has been a game-changer for me, especially with Paul’s writings. He includes so much instruction in the New Testament that reading a modern paraphrase helps me visualize and grasp his meaning better.

Going to do this! Honestly, I feel defeated when I read the Bible & don’t understand it. Then, laziness gets in the way and I don’t even bother to look into it further 😅
