bands i’ve discovered by seeing them live!

so i’m a concert photographer and huge fan of live music, which means i go to a LOT of concerts. sometimes there are openers or other acts that i’ve never heard of, but become obsessed with after i see them. this is a list of a few of those artists!

1. yam haus: i saw these guys live before i ever heard their music because one of my friends brought me to their concert. they’re SUPER nice guys irl. like i’ve see them around 8 times now and every time they remember me and ask how i’m doing and want updates on my life. they’re total sweeties who also make great indie pop rock music and deserve a way bigger fanbase and way more recognition!

2. landon conrath: i saw this guy the first time i saw yam haus and i had never heard of him either. he makes super fun pop music with great energy and the perfect vibe for summer. he’s also super nice too!! he’s given my friends and i his setlists and taken pictures of us and i’m even in a picture on his instagram!

3. field medic: i saw this guy with my boyfriend because he loves his music, but i had only known one or two songs when i went to the show. i left a huge fan though! i literally went home and added most of the songs he played live to my playlist. he makes really great indie folk with great lyrics.

4. bizzy: i saw her open for frenship and did photography for an interview with her before the show. she’s a relatively new artist with only one EP out so far but i love her voice!! it’s so unique. her songs are also super relatable and she’s so nice.

5. sawyer: i saw these guys on a tour with yam haus last fall and i didn’t know any of their music beforehand, but i left a fan! they make such fun pop music with sincere lyrics and relatable concepts and i love their energy.

6. aiden intro: i saw him open for landon conrath and his music is so fun!! i left a fan and his album is super good. he definitely deserves way more recognition because he’s a super small artist right now.

7. poptropicaslutz: these guys opened for waterparks and i had never heard of them before the show, but they were so good!! they have really fun hyperpop music with a unique sound and good vibes.

9. maude latour: i saw her at summerfest because one of my friends was a fan and i didn’t know any of her music but now i’ve been listening to it nonstop. her music is so fun and energetic and she has a great stage presence! her music is so fun and high energy.
