How I’m intermittent fasting as a mom

As a full time working mom I am trying to lose the pre baby weight. I was larger when I got pregnant and managed to not gain too much while pregnant! Now that I have had my daughter I am focusing on her and on my nutrition.

I have many times in my life tried to lose weight and always seem to fail :(.. getting pregnant flipped a switch inside of me. I am now determined not just motivated to lose weight. To be healthy for me and for her.

My eating window if from 12-8pm and it has been working lovely. I have not weighed myself since my 6 week PP appointment but I am sure I have lost some more weight since then.

The goal is to not be so restrictive that I just starve myself. I allow myself to have good food, it just more protein heavy and at 3 different times of the day instead of non stop snacking!

I got these images off of Pinterest but these are some examples of how I’ve been eating 😌. Also, I’m dairy free so that cuts out a ton of unhealthy snacks I used to love !

... Read moreIntermittent fasting, particularly the 16/8 method, is a growing trend among new moms seeking effective weight loss solutions. This method involves fasting for 16 hours and eating within an 8-hour window which can help in shedding postpartum weight while managing energy levels for a busy lifestyle. Moms often juggle multiple responsibilities, making it essential to find a diet that is not only effective but also maintainable. Instead of feeling deprived, focus on nutrient-dense, protein-rich meals that sustain energy levels and promote overall health. Alongside fasting, staying hydrated and incorporating exercises like walking can enhance weight loss results. It's also crucial to listen to your body; hunger pangs can be frequent in the beginning but usually pass. Keeping occupied and choosing healthy snacks, if necessary, can make the fasting experience easier. Sharing experiences on platforms like Pinterest can provide additional meal ideas and motivate others on similar health journeys. Finding support through social media hashtags like #intermittentfasting or #postpartumweightloss can foster a community of moms committed to health, encouraging each other through challenges and successes.

When do you drink your coffee doing this? Does it have to be during your eating window or can it be before that? I want to try this but idk if I can wait that long to drink my morning coffee as a mama of 3 under 3
