Monthly Goals

Here is a inspo poster i made to hang up in my room.

I decided that each month this year I will make a new little poster of my top priority goals to accomplish that month. I think this is a healthy and more realistic way to make resolutions throughout the year and not feel like you’ve failed a couple months into the year. Each month for me will be a brand new start while hoping to keep some healthy habits!

This month I will focus on making it to the #gym now that I have got a new membership.

I will focus on waking up early during the weekdays #earlyriser !

I will focus on drinking plenty of #water to stay hydrated for the days ahead and my workouts.

I am heading back to #college after being on break through December and January therefore I will focus on putting my mind back on school work!

I encourage you to design a fun inspiring graphic to help you work on new goals and hang up in your room! Find your favorite pictures on pinterest to look at everyday and feel good each month!

Let’s do this together!

... Read moreYou know, when I first started thinking about New Year's resolutions, I always felt this huge pressure. By February, I'd often feel like I'd already failed! That's why I absolutely love this 'monthly mode' approach – it's been a game-changer for me. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a year-long marathon, I get to hit refresh every single month, which keeps my motivation high and my goals feeling achievable. This 'monthly mode' isn't just about switching goals; it's about creating a sustainable cycle of productivity and self-improvement. It allows for flexibility. If one month's goal doesn't quite work out, you haven't ruined your whole year! You learn, adjust, and start fresh with new insights. This continuous cycle of setting, pursuing, and reviewing helps build momentum that a single, rigid yearly resolution often can't. So, how do I actually get into this 'monthly mode'? Here are a few practical steps I follow: Reflect and Learn: Before setting new goals, I take a moment to look back at the previous month. What went well? What challenges did I face? What could I improve? This isn't about judgment, but about learning. Choose 3-5 Key Goals: I try not to overload myself. My January list, for example, had specific items like 'Go to gym 5-6 days a week,' 'Drink water,' and 'Wake up early.' I also included more personal and practical ones like 'Paint headboard brown,' 'Make bed everyday,' and 'Do my laundry' to ensure my environment supports my bigger objectives, like 'Get back into school mode.' Focusing on a few core areas makes them more manageable. Visualize It: Just like my inspo poster, having a visual reminder is huge. Whether it's a Pinterest board, a simple handwritten list, or pictures tacked to a corkboard, seeing my goals daily, like 'Gym time!' or 'College studies now!', keeps them top of mind. Break It Down: If a goal like 'Go to gym 5-6 days a week' feels intimidating, I break it into smaller steps. Maybe it's 'Plan gym outfits on Sunday' or 'Find a new workout playlist.' For 'Drink water,' it might be 'Fill my water bottle every morning' and 'Refill it three times a day.' Schedule It: Goals are just wishes without a plan. I block out specific times in my calendar for goal-related activities. If 'Wake up early' is a goal, that alarm time goes into my schedule, and I even put my phone across the room to ensure I actually get up! Focus on Progress, Not Perfection: Some days I'll nail every goal, and some days I'll barely scratch the surface. The beauty of 'monthly mode' is that you get another chance next month. I celebrate even the smallest wins, because consistent effort, not perfect execution, leads to lasting change. So, if you're looking for a fresh, realistic way to tackle your aspirations, I highly recommend adopting a 'monthly mode' mindset. It's incredibly empowering to know that you can reset and refocus regularly, making consistent progress year-round without the pressure of having to be perfect all the time. Let's make every month count!
