🍣Michelin 1-star omakase🍣

We had a 17-course $180pp omakase lunch at the @okeyakyujiro and it was spectacular✨

👉️They are one and only spot in Vancouver that offers theatrical omakase experience. They also opened another spot in Kyoto Japan!

👉️Dinner is $325pp 24 course

👉️They'll celebrate birthdays with piano🎹

Their dishes are made with top-quality ingredients flown in from Japan, and the best quality fishes from all around the world, featuring raw and cooked seafood, wagyu sukiyaki, and even a tea ceremony at the end.

Their sushi is Edomae-style, using red vinegar-seasoned rice, and each piece must be eaten within 10 seconds before the flavor changes. Every bite was mind-blowing❤

... Read moreIf you're curious about dining options at Okeya Kyujiro beyond the popular $180 17-course lunch, it's good to know they also offer a 24-course dinner priced at $325 per person. This allows guests to dive even deeper into the rich flavors and artistry of Japanese cuisine, including more elaborate dishes like wagyu sukiyaki and unique seafood selections. One aspect that makes Okeya Kyujiro truly stand out is their theatrical omakase presentation. Unlike many other sushi restaurants, each course is timed to perfection – especially the Edomae-style sushi, which is served with red vinegar-seasoned rice that should be eaten within 10 seconds to maximize flavor. This attention to detail creates a memorable dining experience that goes beyond just the taste. For those interested in special occasions, the restaurant adds a personal touch by celebrating birthdays with live piano performances, enhancing the atmosphere and making your visit even more special. The restaurant's strong connection to Japanese culinary traditions is also reflected in its tea ceremony at the end of the meal, a lovely way to close the dining journey. Located centrally at 1038 Mainland St, Vancouver, Okeya Kyujiro caters to gourmets looking for authentic and high-quality Japanese dining. Many fans recommend booking in advance due to its reservation-only policy, ensuring an intimate and exclusive experience. If you ever find yourself curious about how omakase pricing reflects the quality and experience, it's clear that Okeya Kyujiro balances cost with an elevated culinary adventure, especially considering the rarity of ingredients flown directly from Japan and the meticulous preparation involved. Whether you're a sushi aficionado, celebrating a special moment, or simply looking to explore Japanese gastronomy in Vancouver, Okeya Kyujiro offers a unique and enriching option worth trying.
