✨ Vancouver Restaurants Chosen by a Japanese

IMO @katsusan_van have the BEST katsu in town!!!
My go-to order is the assorted chicken katsu set for $26 which comes with chicken katsu, cheese katsu, and ebi katsu with plenty of sauces. (and add scallop katsu + curry)
I always come hungry because you get unlimited miso soup, rice, cabbage salad, tsukemono(Japanese pickles), wasabi and Himalayan salt. I'll get like 2 refills at least🤭
👉️They also have ramen, Nagasaki champon ramen tasted like the one I had it in Kyushu Japan

If you’re craving authentic Japanese comfort food in Vancouver, Katsusan is truly a gem worth visiting. Having lived here for over a decade, I’ve tried many places, and this restaurant consistently stands out for its generous portions and authentic flavors. What I love most is how they offer unlimited side dishes like rice, miso soup, cabbage salad, Japanese pickles, wasabi, and Himalayan salt — a rare treat that makes every meal fulfilling. When I visit, I usually go for their $26 assorted chicken katsu set that includes chicken katsu, cheese katsu, and ebi katsu. Sometimes, I add scallop katsu or curry to mix things up. The crispy outside and juicy inside make every bite delightful. Plus, if you’re a ramen fan, their Nagasaki champon ramen tastes just like it does in Kyushu, Japan. What sets Katsusan apart is not only the quality of their food but also the authentic dining experience and friendly atmosphere. It's worth the trip to either their Richmond or Surrey location. If you want to indulge in great Japanese cuisine with generous servings and unlimited sides, this is the spot I highly recommend. Don’t forget to go hungry and bring your appetite for multiple refills of their delicious sides!
