NOT the update I was hoping to give 😭
I’ve gotten a lot of comments asking for an update, and I haven’t been active on here, so I’ll be real with you all.
I was planning on posting on Easter announcing a baby due in October. Unfortunately, God called our baby home at just 6 weeks.
Because my progesterone is low, I was to get it checked every other week while supplementing daily. At 6+6, my progesterone had dropped down to 6. My midwife had me come in for an early ultrasound, where there was absolutely nothing on the ultrasound. My hcg was dropping, as well. I didn’t need the doctor to tell me what I already knew, it was over.
We are still heartbroken, of course, but this baby’s short life has taught us so much. We’re learning to communicate better and to rely on each other for support. We also have so much more hope for the future. The fact that I was able to conceive is a good sign that my body is healing. And our hearts are open.
Our God did not fail.
