1 1/2 cups Salt 🧂
2 oranges 🍊 halved or sliced
2 lemons 🍋 halved or sliced
3-4 tablespoons peppercorn
1 cup brown sugar
5 bay leaves 🌿
An assortment of herbs; sage, thyme, rosemary, parsley 🌿
combine all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a simmer. Simmer until salt & sugars have dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely before submerging your turkey into the brine.
