... Read moreStepping into the truth of being 'chosen to reign' has been a transformative journey for me, and I want to share what that looks like in my daily life. It’s not about earthly power or a crown, but about understanding our spiritual identity and purpose through faith.
For so long, I thought being 'chosen' meant being special, but 'reigning' felt like a massive, unattainable goal. What does it even mean to reign in today's world? I've learned it means exercising spiritual authority, influencing our spheres with God's love and truth, and living with a divine purpose that impacts every aspect of our lives. It means we are called to bring light, hope, and healing to the world around us, not from our own strength, but through His.
Here’s how I've been trying to live out being chosen to reign, day by day:
Prayer as My Throne Room: My prayer time is no longer just a list of requests. It’s a powerful conversation, a time to commune with the King and receive His wisdom. It's where I submit my plans to Him, seek guidance, and exercise faith over my circumstances. Through prayer, I actively 'praise HIM' and thank Him for His sovereignty, shifting my focus from my worries to His power. It feels like stepping into a spiritual throne room where I'm reminded of my position as His child and co-heir.
Anchoring in the Word: The Bible is my instruction manual for reigning. It reveals who I am in Christ, the promises I can stand on, and the authority I've been given. Spending time in scripture grounds me, equips me with truth, and helps me understand the 'rules' of this spiritual reign. It clarifies my purpose and reminds me that I am truly 'chosen_2_reign' for a reason.
Worship: A Declaration of His Sovereignty: Worship is more than just singing; it's a declaration of God's ultimate reign. When I worship, I'm not just expressing my love; I'm aligning myself with His truth and power. It shifts my perspective from feeling overwhelmed by daily challenges to remembering that He is in control. It's a powerful weapon against doubt and fear, and it reaffirms my identity in Him.
Serving with Purpose: Reigning also means serving. It’s about using the gifts and opportunities God has given me to bless others. Whether it’s through a kind word, a helping hand, or sharing my faith, I try to be an agent of His love and grace. This isn't just about big gestures; it's about the small, consistent acts of kindness and influence in my family, community, and even online spaces. It’s about being a solution, not just observing problems.
Overcoming with Authority: Life definitely throws curveballs, but embracing my identity as 'chosen to reign' has changed how I face them. I don't pretend problems don't exist, but I face them with an awareness of the divine strength within me. Instead of being ruled by fear or anxiety, I actively choose to reign over those emotions through faith and by declaring God's truth. It’s a daily battle, but knowing I am chosen empowers me to keep going.
Living chosen to reign is an ongoing journey of faith, prayer, and worship. It’s about recognizing that every day is an opportunity to honor God and fulfill the purpose He has for each of us. I truly believe that as we embrace this truth, we can experience a profound shift in our lives and impact the world around us for the better.
