HAZE IS HERE —BUT MY FIRST RESPONSE ISN'T TO PANIC
When the air quality changes, I think it's easy to immediately start looking for something to do.
For me, I come back to something much simpler:
Check. Adjust. Listen. Care.
Before I reach for anything, I look at the air quality and think about what my body and my environment actually need.
I might:
• check the current air quality
• spend less time outdoors when conditions call for it
• keep water close
• make my home comfortable
• slow down when my body is asking for it
• and, when I'm home, diffuse an essential-oil blend that makes the space feel calm, comfortable or refreshed
The last part is simply my personal wellness ritual.
It isn't a treatment for haze, and I don't use essential oils as a substitute for appropriate health advice.
I actually think that's an important part of wellness:
We don't have to choose between caring for our environment and caring for how we feel in it.
Sometimes the most supportive thing we can do is simply pause long enough to notice what we need.
SAVE this for the next hazy day.
And send it to someone who might appreciate having a simple reminder to check the air, slow down and take care of themselves.
What does your home wellness routine look like when you spend more time indoors?
