When I die, pls make sure to lay me in this position in my coffin ⚰️ thank you 🙏 but seriously I cannot just stand up straight! Scoliosis is rotational, not just curved, that’s why I make wedges out of bean bags to address the rotation! It feels AMAZING to be in this scroth position, like I’m normal for 10 minutes 🤩 can anyone else relate?

Living with scoliosis, especially rotational scoliosis, presents unique daily challenges that many don't see. Unlike a simple sideways curve, rotational scoliosis twists the spine, causing discomfort and difficulty standing straight. I've found that creating makeshift wedges from bean bags to adjust my posture provides surprisingly effective relief. Placing one bean bag to elevate the curved area and another to support the shoulder rotation helps realign my spine enough to feel 'normal' for short periods. This scroth position isn't just a comfort hack; it's about acknowledging that standard posture advice like "just stand straight" overlooks the complexity of scoliosis. Those of us with a 45-degree spinal curve learn to adapt creatively because conventional solutions often fall short. Using bean bags offers a tactile way to counteract the rotation and lessen muscle strain, especially during workouts or rest. From my experience in the gym, these adjustments have improved my overall posture and reduced the fatigue associated with scoliosis. Building awareness around rotational aspects and incorporating personalized supports like wedges can be empowering. If you relate to this, experimenting safely with props that elevate and realign may provide that much-needed break from discomfort. Always consider consulting with a healthcare professional or physiotherapist for tailored advice, but personal strategies like these add valuable options to managing scoliosis daily.
