what I’m not buying for 2026 🤝
Buying in bulk or stocking up on popular items can feel smart at first — but there’s a point when it just doesn’t make sense anymore. For me, that moment hits when I realize I’m buying more than I actually need or when storage becomes a problem. It’s also frustrating when bulk prices go up because everyone’s trying to grab the deal, making it less cost-effective. I've definitely fallen into the trap of buying multiple colors of clothes simply because I liked one, thinking I might as well get them all. But that just means clutter and regret later — I learned that sticking to one color or style saves both money and closet space. Another big lesson from my experience is to avoid dupes, especially when it comes to fashion and accessories. While cheap knockoffs might seem budget-friendly, their poor quality often means they fall apart fast or even cause allergic reactions. I much prefer saving up for the original high-quality item rather than wasting money on multiple low-grade copies. Finally, viral trends — especially on TikTok — are tempting but don’t always work out. After spending most of 2025 recovering from an irritated skin barrier due to viral skincare products, I’ve decided to only use dermatologist-approved treatments. It’s about making thoughtful purchases that truly benefit me without falling for every trend. If you’re considering buying in bulk or getting viral products, I’d recommend asking yourself: Do I really need this? Do I have space? Am I buying just because it’s on sale or popular? These questions help me shop smarter and stay mindful about spending.
