How do I say it gently to him?
I’ve been with my man for 2 years, and I love him more than anything. But lately, I’m stuck. Over the past few years, he’s gained a lot of weight and stopped caring about his clothes, skips basic grooming too. It’s not about vanity. I worry about his health, and honestly, I miss doing things like hiking or dancing together, which he avoids now. I’ve tiptoed around it: “Want to try that new gym with me?” “This shirt would look great on you!” He shuts down, saying, “You just want me to be someone else.” That’s not true but I hate seeing him lose confidence. I want us to thrive together. But how do I tell him his appearance bothers me because I care, not because I’m shallow?

These comments are so judgmental. I think this is completely reasonable. The fact that he is skipping basic grooming, says that there might be a pretty bad case of depression going on and you need to talk to him. Guys she did not say that he’s getting fat so she thinks he’s ugly she saidshe misses doing activities with him and when she says something, he shuts her down.
