Relocating can be a transformative experience, filled with excitement and a sense of discovery. In my first month, I’ve navigated new surroundings, met fascinating individuals, and embraced the local culture. The loc journey is not just about adapting to a physical space, but also about personal growth and understanding. Engaging in activities such as exploring local cuisine, participating in community events, and discovering hidden gems have significantly enriched my experience. Through this journey, I found creativity and inspiration in every corner. My month has been filled with learning opportunities, from developing independence to discovering passions I didn’t know I had. The connection to #locnation and #locgrowth has helped me foster relationships with others on similar journeys, creating a strong support network. Sharing stories, tips, and experiences has been invaluable. As I continue this journey, I encourage others to embrace the changes with an open mind and heart. Change can be daunting, but it opens doors to new adventures and friendships. I look forward to my next month and beyond, eager to see how I grow and what experiences await!

#lemon8diarychallenge tbh I’m not gonna sugarcoat!! I am literally just now starting to love my locs! It was so hard to gain confidence in the first 5 mths I wore so many wigs! I dyed them the bright orange to help wear them out and just recently dyed them back jet black and I fell in love!

Journey began with coiled roots and 2 strand twists. FULL transparency!! This journey has been EXCITING and tough at the same time! Because my hair is very soft, I have to get a retwist quite often. There are times I’m not sure how to style it. Shrinkage is real (always has been)🤣 I

Taking a look back at where my loc journey began ( in another direction..I started with micro locs and combined them) makes me so happy that I stick with it. It also makes me wish that I started sooner 😆 I keep my routine simple. -water/ mist every other day -oil my scalp once a week -wash

I started my locs in January 2021, I am 3 years loc’d and loving it. My tips if you want thicker locs would be not to get re-twist too often, every 2 to 3 months. Wear a satin lined bonnet every night to bed to prevent fizz or something like that lol. Wet hair every two days and moisturize with oil
