where your soul goes to die
There’s something scarier than getting caught—it’s not caring anymore.
At first, sin stings. You feel it in your chest. The guilt hits. You know you shouldn’t be doing it, but you do it anyway. You tell yourself, just one more time. But over time, that sting fades. The voice gets quieter. The guilt goes away. And you start to think, maybe it’s not that bad anymore.
That’s when it gets dangerous.
That’s when your heart’s going numb.
See, sin is like fire—it burns at first, but if you play with it long enough, it leaves scars you can’t feel anymore. That’s not freedom—that’s damage.
Romans 1 talks about people who kept pushing God away until He said, “Fine. Have it your way.” That’s the moment when God stops trying to stop you. He lets you chase what you think you want—and it ends up breaking you from the inside out.
But if you still feel something—if even a small part of you knows this isn’t right—that’s mercy. That means God’s still reaching for you. That’s the Holy Spirit whispering, “Come home.”
Don’t wait until you can’t feel it anymore. Ask Jesus to wake your heart up. To make you care again. To clean you, forgive you, and give you real life. Because numb hearts die quietly—but Jesus can bring them back to life.
📖 Read Psalm 51:10–12; Romans 1:24–25
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” —Psalm 51:10
If this hit something deep, you don’t have to face it alone.
