Creativity dump ✨🫶
Being a mom is hard and I have actively tried to find hobbies to fill my cup. I was shocked when I found that to be the more creative things because I never saw myself as a creative person.
Now I have found a new love doing hobbies like decorating, making sourdough, planning and junk journaling and plants.
I’m so glad to have found things I enjoy doing
Creativity often takes on different shapes and forms, especially for busy moms juggling daily responsibilities. I used to think creativity was something reserved for artists or designers, but motherhood has shown me that creative expression can be incredibly varied and practical. For example, decorating your home or organizing spaces provides a creative challenge that is both rewarding and functional. I've found joy in mixing colors and textures that brighten my environment and uplift my mood. Making sourdough is another avenue where creativity meets science; the process itself is therapeutic and the end result is a delicious symbol of patience and care. Planning and junk journaling have become outlets for my thoughts and ideas, allowing me to personalize my day-to-day routines while nurturing my mental health. Using different papers, stickers, and writing styles fosters a playful yet productive mindset. Likewise, caring for plants connects me with nature and gives a sense of accomplishment as I watch them grow. Overall, embracing these hobbies has helped me view creativity not just as an abstract concept but as a practical, joyful part of my mom life. These activities refill my emotional bucket, spark inspiration, and challenge me in new ways. If you’re a mom looking to reconnect with creativity, I encourage you to try exploring hobbies that may feel unfamiliar at first—you might be surprised where your creativity takes you!
