my vanilla protein matcha latte recipe 🍵🍦✨

this is not the traditional way to make matcha at all but this is something I do when I’m in a rush and want to increase protein with my breakfast 🍵
ingredients:
🍵 ceremonial matcha powder - I use jade leaf packets
🥛 organic grass fed protein shake (vanilla)
🍭 stevia - use any sweetener/flavor you like!
tools you can use:
• matcha whisk or a frother works well
• this is a matcha bowl that goes with the whisk but you can use any bowl or cup to mix
I use the kids protein shake because it’s about 8 oz and a regular is over 12 which would water the matcha down too much — if you want over 20g of protein, use the regular shake and double the amount of matcha! And as a pcos girly, limiting my sugar intake is high priority and the protein shake already has sugar in it but doesn’t fully sweeten the drink how I prefer!

If you're looking for even more ways to customize your protein matcha latte, there are several tips I've found helpful. For instance, using a matcha whisk or a milk frother makes mixing easier and creates a smooth texture without clumps. I usually prefer stevia as a sweetener because it doesn’t add calories or sugar, but you can experiment with monk fruit or erythritol if you want to keep it natural and low carb. Adding a splash of almond or oat milk can make it creamier while keeping it dairy-free. When buying matcha, I recommend ceremonial grade like Jade Leaf for the best flavor and antioxidant benefits. Not all matcha powders are created equal, so checking for organic certification can also help ensure quality. Protein shake size matters too; I use the kids' vanilla shake since it’s about 8 ounces, which balances the flavor without watering down the matcha. For a bigger protein boost, a regular 12-ounce shake works well, but you might want to double your matcha amount to keep the flavor strong. Lastly, matcha is known for its natural energy lift thanks to caffeine and L-theanine, which provides a calm, focused energy compared to coffee. This makes the protein matcha latte a great choice for breakfast or a midday pick-me-up without the jitters. Experiment with iced or hot versions depending on the season, and feel free to mix in superfoods like collagen powder or chia seeds to enhance the nutritional profile further. Enjoy your matcha journey!
