Bundt cake with a glaze

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened

2 1/4 cups (450g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 cup (240ml) buttermilk

For the Glaze:

1 cup (120g) powdered sugar

2–3 tbsp milk or cream

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan thoroughly.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Smooth the top and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

8. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla until smooth.

9. Glaze the Cake: Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake. Let it set before serving.
