Cake Ingredients:

* ¼ cup milk (room temp)

* ⅓ cup sour cream (light or regular, room temp)

* ⅓ cup rum (Bacardi Gold, Myer’s Dark, or favorite)

* 1 cup butter (room temp)

* 1¾ cups granulated sugar

* 2 tsp vanilla extract

* 3 large eggs + 2 yolks (room temp)

* 2¼ cups cake flour

* 1½ tsp baking powder

* ¼ tsp baking soda

* ½ tsp salt

Glaze:

* ½ cup butter

* ½ cup granulated sugar

* ½ cup brown sugar

* ¼ cup rum

* ¼ cup heavy cream

* 1 tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 How to Make It:

1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan thoroughly.

2. Wet Mix: Whisk milk, sour cream, and rum. Let come to room temp.

3. Cream: Beat butter for 1 min, add sugar and beat 3–4 mins until fluffy. Mix in vanilla, then eggs and yolks one at a time.

4. Dry Mix: Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.

5. Combine: Alternate adding dry ingredients and wet mixture to the batter, starting and ending with dry. Mix until just combined.

6. Bake: Pour batter into the pan. Bake ~50 mins or until toothpick comes out clean.

7. Glaze: Heat all glaze ingredients in a saucepan. Boil for 2 mins, stirring constantly.

8. Soak: Cool cake in pan 15 mins. Invert to remove, clean pan, return cake to it, poke holes, and pour in most of glaze.

9. Serve: Let glaze soak in, then invert onto a plate and spoon remaining glaze on top.
